By focus I mean I start VFP the cursor is in the command window and then move the cursor onto tools on the menu and click ( I guess menu bar would have been a better moniker ) to set options, run a wizard or debugger, go to the file menu to 'save as', any of the menu items etc... When I go back and click in the command window or the main screen area or click any where on the desktop ( this is what I mean by losing focus on the menu bar ) VFP locks up and becomes non-responsive and has to be killed with the task manager.

Get my terminology right, does that help?
