My problem is fixed. The thread is huge and it took over a day, but I'm working and couldn't be happier about it.

>No I ment send me your foxpro prob, maybe I can help

>>You're actually got along further on this then I did.
>>I've made two sheets and I can't get the Address function to work inside the Indirect function with both sheets open. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
>>
>>I did however use just the indirect function OK.
>>In the file book2 and the sheet tab TestSheet I put B3 in cell A3.
>>
>>In the file Book1 has the formula:
>>
>>=INDIRECT('H:\My Documents\[Book2.xls]TestSheet'!$A$3)
>>
>>On the same worksheet I put 12 in B3 and 10 is C3.
>>
>>The formua in Book1 shows correctly that it is 12.
>>I saved both sheets and closed Book1.
>>I modifed Book2, cell A3 to be C3.
>>Saved that spreadsheet and closed it.
>>I opened just book1 and it asked me if I wanted to update the spreadhseet.
>>I answered yes and the answer to the formula correctly changed to 10 without having book2 open.
>>So we now know that the password and the Indirect formula don't appear too be the culprit.
>>
>>If you like you can email the spreadhseets and I can look at them.
