A percentile is the proportion of scores in a distribution that a specific score is greater than or equal to. In this case I believe a percentage would be more representative of what you are looking for.

An accurate number will be hard to obtain. About a year ago I recall numbers of VB 9, VFP 1, Delphi .5 defining the ratio of programmers being compared to those who use VB, so expressed as a ratio:

VB 9 : VFP 1, VB 9: Delphi .5.

For every 9 VB developers there is one VFP developer.
For every 9 VB developers there is one half a Delphi developer. That must hurt – to be one half a developer!

Oh yes: For every two VFP developers there is one Delphi developer. Now I feel better!
