This is so frustrating. I pasted your code into a prg file and ran it. It appeared to work fine. I then applied the FOR ENDFOR workaround to my code. My code still didn't work. I stripped down my code and mixed it with yours - it still didn't work. I went back to your original code. It didn't work. I rebooted my machine and ran your code. It still didn't work ???

Bottom line - this whole thing is extremely unreliable. I got the "parameter not optional" message. So, you are right. Even though the parameter we are passing is an object and should be a reference to the target folder, the move method just doesn't see it that way. However, no matter what way I cycle around the folders collection, I get the same error. When I took your code and changed the FOREACH define, I too got the fatal error.

By the way, I am using Outlook with Exchange Server.

My problem is that I am so bogged down with a major project that has to be completed by December, I just haven't got the time to throw at this. I am glad you have found some kind of error and I can confirm that the circumstances you have replicated are what I am doing (with a little extra processing here and there). Essentially though, you have read my situation correctly. What I will say is that this all works as advertised in VFP6. At the moment, I can do nothing other than stick with 6 because of the unreliability in this area.

Major bummer :(
