Silly me. Right you are. I actually went and checked because I had thought I was using free DBF VFP5 tables. They were actually older DBF's from a former version of the product I had. ODBC will be slower for you--it's the nature of the beast because it's sandwiching another interpreter between the input (the DBF) and the output (the report). I'd be curious to receive your answer if you find one. Thanks,
