I LOVE Visual Studio, and use a large number of the programs each day. Sometimes I wonder what I would do without it :). Currently, I write windows programs, but do work on some DOS things, which doesn't seem possible in C++ 5 (just 32-bit console apps, which seem to need windows still) :(. I actually have C++ 1 and Borland for that though, so it isn't a problem.
