i think i've seen this answered here before, but could
someone humor me and tell me what strings are returned
by the OS() function for each of the operating systems ?
i already have them for WIN2000 & WINME

WIN 3.1 -- ??
WIN 95 -- ??
WIN 98 -- ??
WIN ME -- Windows 4.90
WIN 2K -- Windows 5.00
WIN XP -- ??
WIN NT Server -- ??
WIN NT Workstation -- ??

obviously this is related to some post-install customization
program. any recommendations on the subject in general would
be appreciated.
