>>I have an OLD application that is still running in Fox for Windows 2.5, it has been running successfully with Windows 95/98/NT/ME and 2K. However I now have a user that has tried to install it on Windows XP. Everything installs, but they keep getting an error that says FoxPro Runtime not found. I've checked and the FOXW250B.ESL is in the correct location (at least for other windows versions) and the path on the short cut is setup correct!

>It sounds to me that your application is compiled as 'Compact' EXE which means that you will have to put the fopro libraries in the DOS path. The best way around this is to recompile as a STANDALONE EXTENDED. Before running the build ensure tht all the libs are in same direcrtory as FoxPro. By doing this all the runtime libs will become a part of your executable and it should take care of the problem.

Does XP handle path searches different than other versions of windows? I have the runtime library in the path specified as the target in the shortcut properties.
(the same as for other versions of windows) This would mean that it was in the "default" directory and therefore IN the search path... right?
