Michael,

These are pretty hefty servers 2 PIII 800MHz processors, 2Gig RAM, RAID 5 disk array. The optimization jobs are your standard index and shrink table operations. One thing to keep in mind is that these databases are relativly small, under 2Mb, we have to keep them seperated for legal reasons. I am beginning to wonder if this is a short-coming of SQL2000 as SQL 7.0 handled these jobs fine. If you think of something please let me know.
