We at Harris in San Antonio have established Visual Studio Enterprise as our standard developer tool. Given that we plan to use Visual SourceSafe as our software configuration management system, the cost of VSS plus any one of the other major tools in Visual Studio justifies the the cost of the entire package. We have current development projects in VFP, VB, VI, and SQLServer. Several of us are beginning to learn VJ and Transaction Server.
We do no DOS development. We do have a number of DOS-based legacy programs we are maintaining.
