The converter is below what could have been achieved. You better find the source (in the xsource directory on your installation disk) and patch it to ignore the color* fields in the .scx - you don't want the DOS/xBase style colors anyway. Actually, the forms which have those GR, W* and similar colors seem to come from a conversion from a DOS version, and should not have been used in a FPW version at all. They would look very un-Windows anyway, so you may be better off not converting those colors at all.
Besides, I'd rather go with tweaks to Alejandro Sosa's converter (file #9450) - FPW wasn't too different from FPD, you'd only have to take care of decimal foxels (which will replace DOS character coordinates). VFP's converter is giving you Read emulation in forms, and Alejandro's one gives you real VFP forms.
