There are also a couple of good programs in the download section. I have used the one from Abrams (similar to what Michel was describing in the UT article) and there is at least one other there. You can also use one of several ActiveX controls (Mabry,SocketWrench) but using the WinInet interface eliminates any distribution/licensing issues, everyone(?) already has them installed.
