I was aware that the files were read-only.
I neglected to mention that I have used VSS with and without VFP integration in 5 different shops now, and I have never experienced modifying(viewing) a class library through the project manager being problematic like this.
I should have said, also, that this problem appears to be intermittant.
I remain clueless.
