I finally got my strtofile() problem solved. It wasn't the string after all. The string was calling for a named printer in a Cadam batch process. It just so happened that the named printer was corupted some how and only run internally from Cadam. I deleted the printer def and recreated it and all works fine. Thanks for all your help.
