Not neccesarely. There is another approach that works for me.

1. Make a new form.
2. Drag the template class onto this form.
3. VFP asks you to make a FORMSET, answer yes.
4. Delete the normal form via menu FORM, remove form, confirm with yes.
5. Delete the formsset via menu FORM, remove formset.

You've got to check some default properties (like datasession) to be correct, after that you've got a new form based on your custom template class. IMO it works a bit better than going to the options, change the template file and save it, esspecially when you've got to design many forms based on different template classes.
