>I have two apps. App 1 is the main and app2 is a supporting app. I make a request from app 1. I have a flag field in a table that app 1 is watching to change. App 2 starts runs sends the flag to app 1 but app 1 never lets me know its changed. Can some one help?

Rather than using a DBF to pass a flag, take a look at my ClsEvent class (downloadable from the Files Section) - it uses the Windows API to wrap the Windows Event synchronization object either by polling for changes or pausing execution until the event is raised.
