Something wasn't sitting right with me on this, so I used a MSDN support incident (SRX011109604590 working with Ayax Vargas in the VB Data Group (there is no VFP group?)). He got the same kind of "error" I did when doing the indexing from VBScript - when I say

"index the column named columna on index expression columna"
It does:

Index on transform(columna) tag columna

Instead of what I want:

Index on columna tag columna

What do you think?
