My employer purchased Visual Studio within the last month, because we were told (and we think we have verified) that SBT (an accounting package that we use) has been built with a combination of several tools in VS, therefore we need the package.
I'm sure we will continue to keep upgraded on VS, and I would recommend it to people in similar situations.
We do not do any DOS development... We are in the middle of long conversion effort from 2.6 Windows to Visual FoxPro for dozens of apps, including custom SBT modifications.

So, far everyone here is very happy with FoxPro 2.6, and we expect to be very happy with VFP 5.0.
