Hi!

Not sure about menu, but in VFP transparent areas are defined by a *.MSK file that is really a 2-color (black/white) bitmap that defines which areas are transparent by white (or black? do not remember...) color. Just see a samples for VFP - most bitmaps there come with appropriate MSK file.

You can also try to make a 256-color picture and make the white color not really white, but 1 point less white, in other words, RGB(254,254,254). For users it will look the same.

>Whenever i try to add my own pictures to a menu, or a button for that matter, all the white area's in that pic are shown in gray. I know that has something to do with the transparency but I haven't found out how to get it right. Does anybody knows how to do this?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
