You need to use a font that supports the same character mapping as the original DOS character set, such as FoxPrint, FoxFont, MS Sans Serif or Terminal, rather than one of the TrueType fonts - they may be pretty, but the mapping of characters between the DOS ASCII and the majority of TT fonts is not the same.
