Hi Serg,

This tip was very helpful - I used it and it worked wonderfully - thanks.

I'm hoping you can help me with something similar.

I have a report with a detail band that will vary in length depending on how many rows in the band are printed. I got the stretching of the band working using vertical lines starting from the page header, going thru the detail band, and ending in the page footer(thanks to Cathy P.).

The report has a page header, a page footer, a detail band, and three groupings.

The problem is that at the end of every page, I have a large white space. I think it's the height of the entire detail band. It almost looks like vfp is checking to see if it can fit another record on the page and using the whole height of the detail band to check how much space it needs (even if the next record is only two rows when printed). What can I do to get rid of this space? Do I need to float all the fields in the detail band?
I tried that but it didn't seem to make any difference.
I can't seem to figure out what's controlling it.

Please help - I spent so much time getting this report going.
