Jim,

Open a form in VFP (I use the Visual ProMatrix framework, but for this example I am in Native VFP7).

1. Open a form for editing
2. Set toolbars as desired, my preference being:
Row 1: Standard, Custom - holds button or class browser, supercls, Layout
Row 2: Form Designer, Form Controls
3. Close form
4. Re-open form for editing
5. Toolbar positions:
Row 1: Form Designer, Layout (indented to last horizontal position)
Row 2: Form Controls (indented to last horizontal position)
Row 3: Standard, Custom, Supercls (all in last horizontal position)

Happens everytime. I can remove the toolbars, close and reopen the form so that Resource file picks up that tools bars were removed, restore and place the toolbars. All toolbars will then be in the position they were left in for the duration of the session, but once VFP is closed, I am back to square one.

Inside the framework, which is a running APP, it is worse. Once a form is closed, it will always re-open as described above.

If I keep a form open at all times, the toolbars stay put, but with 2 or more forms open, I am getting an error "file not open" when the form is saved, although the save appears to take place. If I don't exit and relaunch VFP immediately, however, a bunch of methods get trashed. I've been told that this was a VFP6 problem, but it has just started happening to me with VFP7. This does not happen with each save, and so far I haven't pinned down a scenario. If you have any info on this, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

BTW, O/S is Windows 2000 Pro with all SPs.
