I won't be surprised if this is an old topic here, I just joined recently, but I would greatly appreciate any tips for getting an .EXE compiled in VFP to not go through it's horrendous contortions at startup.

I am setting the TITLE in config.fpw, and my first commands in the main program maximize _SCREEN, place a custom icon and background bitmap in same, and activate a custom menu. Each of these changes takes some time to take effect, the result being a very ugly startup, as I'm sure you are all familiar with. I have tried using _SCREEN.LockScreen to make it less clunky, but it doesn't really help. Any pearls of wisdom?
