For just last 2-3000 years we've got used to read that way. And I'd kindly repeat my wish for targeted quoting - let's not be lazy and snip off the parts of the quotes which are not important for following up the thread. Takes less scrolling, is more readable, and cuts down the download time. This may not seem important to many of people here, but believe me, there are places on Earth where the phone lines are awful, and the phone bills are high.
