Don't know if this if any help, but Pick Corp was purchased several years ago (after Richard Pick's death) by a group PickAx Corp. They recently did a reverse buyout of Omnis (of Omnis Quartz fame) and the corp is now renamed Raining Data. It seems that Pick was looking for a GUI to dress their apps in and Omnis provided an appropriate one.

Their web site is www.rainingdata.com. They have resources on their site which could well provide the file layout descriptions you're looking for.

If I'm not mistaken, Pick is a hierarchical rather than relational product, so you may have some fun normalizing!
