I'm new to this and need some sugestions for (what I think is ?) a simple task.

I need to open a comm socket on a certain port number from a particular IP address, than read in a data stream coming from that ip/port. I believe this functionality requires use of the winsock API. Anyone know of documentation or reference material that may be helpful ?
