Hi,

I use Zone Alarm for security and have become aware that many resident programs in my machine are asking to be servers as well as asking for access to the internet. Now, many of them can be perfectly legitimate parts of FrontPage, IIS, SQL Server, Norton Antivirus, or parts of Windows, etc, but the point is I don't know and of course that is very suspicious behavior. Many of them reside in the Windows or System directories so there is no hint as to where they come from.

Is there somewhere reliable that keeps a list of files like these with things like checksums or some other way to verify their legitimacy?
