>I am having trouble with an SQL statement. One of my variables is a path name. I sent it as a parameter '\\gvmain\drawings\840000\'. In my SQL PT I concatenate this string like I do all the others var x = "'" + parameter + "'".
>In my SQL string I ref it as &var x. When I try to run this I get an error 'Contains unregonnized key word or phrase'. If I send the parameter as an empty string all works fine. If I try to take the & off the code works but the record is not sent to the remote table. Like I said several other variables are coded in this fasion and they work.

We sometimes experience the same but with a little tweak, it works. Try to use the more reliable [ ] instead of "".

CHARISMA simply means: "Be more concerned about making others feel good about themselves than you are in making them feel good about you."
