Some additional info: (my last message was apparently too long to go through)

When I loaded 3.0b, I noticed that even if you don't customize a 16x16 icon as the article instructs, what is displayed instead is not the "rat-head", but the Windows icon (like in the "flying windows" screen saver) which is more tolerable from a proprietary-look point-of-view.

Also, tech support gave me some specific instructions on installation of 3.0b (this information did not come with the software). Basically, you have to uninstall 3.0, move anything of importance out of \VFP, and delete the directory, then install the new version. Do not overwrite it. There is also an updated Setup Wizard available at the Microsoft web-site, that you cannot run unless you have 3.0b, and if you download it, you must get rid of all the setup directories created by the old Setup Wizard before you use the new one.
