That may not be the case. If the pointer to your WebService is a local IP (such as 127.0.0.1) then the most likely is that you're not going through your firewall and proxy; if, on the other hand, you're using a publicly exposed IP address or its DNS name and they're not in the bypass list of your proxy settings, then you are.
