It may not exactly fit the bill and, because of my own requirements, I've yet to use it, but Erik Moore's eView (in the download section) might work for you. I've heard nothing but good things about it. What you could do is generate the view, and since it's based on an SQL Statement, get that using CURSORGETPROP().
