There is structural differences involved in MS ACCESS and SQL SERVER tables. There are extra fields in MSACCESS tables that do not need to be duplicated. So we have to do Vertical filtering which is not possible in Merge Replication. Also primary keys are different in the tables, as in MS ACCESS they needed to store more data than in SQL SERVER so primary keys are loosely defined in MS ACCESS.

2. We need to retain same data in both the databases. When ever there is a difference in data, we would like the synchronization program to be able to determine which is most current and paste that most current data into both the databases.

Thanks
