>>There is alot of technology out there, and already prewritten apps out there which do this sort of thing. But written in VFP . Not likley. this would be one of the best places to find such a thing however if it does exist.

I've been researching the existing technologies and I think I'm settling on FAQ-O-Matic (http://faqomatic.sourceforge.net/fom-serve/cache/1.html) which isn't quite the kind of app you suggested and it isn't a VFP app either but I think that it will serve my purposes for now. And it is free <g>.

You may want to hurry on that, Bob, and download the source, too.

VA Linux has renamed itself to VA and it is taking SourForge propriatary. They are in the process of trying to dupe users into signing away their rights to projects currently on SourceForge. Projects are making a mass move to "Savanna", which is GPL. VA is doing what CDDB did last year... stealing the freely supplied work of thousands of coders and data entry efforts. But in their case they are switching from a PC hardware vendor to a software house, and will be peddling propriatary versions of SourceForge. The SourceForge software, for those who don't know, tie in a version control tree (VCS), a bug reporting and tracking tool, app documenation, and other goodies within one user interface. It's a good tool, but the way it is coming to life suggests another ethically challanged corporation is springing to life.
