Thanks Mark. I rather expected it would work, and other than the database, was not really worried about any other components, since they would be completely separate. Not having done it before though, there is always that fear of the unknown / undiscovered. I did not remember reading about any binary incompatibilities, but tossing it out here always gives me a reality check.
