I agree with Jim. Something doesn't seem quite right. When a pack is performed, the table is copied to a file with a new name. The table with the new name is then cleaned up and records marked for deletetion are removed. Only after the new file has updated successufully does the orginal file get deleted. Then the new file is given the old file's name. I know when it comes to computers anything is possible, but the pack feature of Visual FoxPro seem bullet proof.
