According to the VFP help, PACK DATABASE isn't supported by the VFP OLE DB provider but PACK is. However, as Steve Gibson found, there's a conflict with using PACK on the database itself when a stored procedure is running. So, I'm guessing you won't be able to do it that way.

Why not use a VFP COM object instead?
