So, in other words, you're suggesting that I have two objects, one on the server (wrapped into a web service) and one on my fat client. These objects communicate via XML such that the client side object requests data and "parses" the resulting XML string into its own properties - instead of relying on the properties back on the server (web service). Then, the client can simply use its client-side properties. For updates, inserts, and deletes, the client sends XML strings back to the web service to be processed.
I like this approach. Thanks for the help!
