If you know VFP, you could learn web services with XML first with VFP 7 and you could create ASP and ASP.NET(v.2) web apps with ActiveVFP(www.activevfp.com). I like to think that AVFP is a good bridge to .NET because you would be using some of .NET and taking advantage of VFP...
