Thanks. Downloading as I type. I will most certainly have a look at your class. I agree with your assertion that grids are not easy to build to allow edits of existing records and new record additions with associated validations etc. I have battled for many a long hour to get mine to work. They *do* work, but they are very fragile. Apparently innocent "enhancements" can bring them crashing down....
