Hi,

The imp and exp tools are not backwards compatible, but you can
always connect to the newer db with the older or newer tools...So

The easiest way for you in this case is install the 8.1.6 client (database admin tools in another home and then connect to the 8.1.5 db and import.

Or conversly install 8.1.6 client tools on the 8.1.5 db
and import the file connecting throught the 8.1.6 tools.
