Hi!

Make a generic function that will be called from any place in your application, include from meny and toolbar buttons. Pass a parameter to function (form name). In the function just do things depended on the parameter, for example, run the form, or run the form conditionally (as you mentioned).

HTH.

>I have a menu that calls a particular screen. I am using Menu Gadgets which creates an 'outlook' style menu with icons for key screens. I want the code that executes when the icon is pressed to call a choice on the menu. I don't want to hardcode the screen name like DO FORMNAME because the menu that is displayed at the top depends on certain criteria and each menu calls different form names. For example I have a form APINVOIC and another APINVJC and the form that is called depends on the client's serial number so some clients run APINVOIC and others run APINVJC.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
