>We just installed IIS 4.0 onto one of our NT 4.0 File/Print Servers for an intranet site. I can type our computer name in and get the intranet homepage, but I also want to be able for our users to type just "Intranet" and bring up the page. Does anyone know how to do this without changing the computer name?

Hi, Chuck

You can add an entry in the clients' HOSTS file in the form
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx intranet
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of your freshly installed web server

bye
