This is the last resort, mainly because it will take more work. Both of the objects (one for Excel, one for 1-2-3) are actually children of a parent class that serves to abstract the interface (as well as doing the calculations and data manipulation) that produce the sheet. What this would entail is moving one call to the class's OpenFile() method into several different methods, plus closing the file. Not only would this increase the code base, but hurt performance as well.
