On several different PC's we have found that FoxPro seems to trash itsself and a reinstallation of FoxPro doesn't fix it - leading to an o/s reinstallation. Also when printing from a FoxPro application (or EXE) cancelling the print job seems to have drastic problems e.g. if you print a print job and your printer is off your program is terminated.

You do not say if you're using FP 2.6a Windows, or DOS.

If Windows:
- make sure the high-speed patch from Microsoft has been applied
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q240/9/82.ASP

If DOS:
- check out http://www.levelextreme.com/wconnect/wc.dll?FournierTransformation~?2,15,527906

Both versions:
- use a PIF or shortcut properties to limit available RAM to 16MB, preferably DPMI for DOS (turn EMS and XMS off), XMS for Windows (turn DPMI and EMS off).
- put MEMLIMIT=50,16000,16000 in your CONFIG.FP/.FPW file.
