In this situation the drunk driver wasn't rewarded for killing a person, he was awarded because his counsel and State Farm Insurance conspired to deprive Campbell of his contractual rights by refusing to accept the platiffs offer of settlement for the insurance cap of $25,000. After loosing the trial and being accessed $138,000 + $60,000 in penalties, State Farm and their counsel said, 'better put a forsale sign on your porperty'. Campbell found out that State Farm had a policy of capping claims in violation of contractual agreements. That is what they lost for.
