>You can have a Post Executable in the watered down version of ISexpress. The only difference is that the user can choose not to run it by not checking that option. You can get around this and make it automatic - look for the post by Jim Saunders on InstallShield and using Orca.
>So really there is no less functionality in this version. You can even do whatever Custom Actions you created in previous version of full-blown ISexpress. I had ISexpress 1.5 and just imported into the VFP 7 version and it ran the Custom Actions in the proper places!
>>Got to tell you, I'm dissappointed with this watered down version of InstallShield. The one vital component that we need they decided to strip out--Custom Actions. This is kind of like the post executible setup in the old system. So far I havn't found a workaround for this. Anybody got any ideas?

It's really not the same, but I guess I'll have to make do. After downloading the SDK, it probably wouldn't be too hard to write some sort of modue for adding in whatever functionality I needed that is missing. It still makes me mad that their upgrade policy is so restrictive.
