Given: Win98, Vfp60 Remote View -> ODBC -> MS SQL70
I have to store large files on a SQL server.
Basically i do the following:
APPEND MEMO Image_fld FROM LargeFile.zip
TABLEUPDATE()
Everything works correctly, but during the file upload to the server, the application goes lethargic, plays possum. I've been thinking about how it is possible to retain the interactivity of the application while a large file is being sent to the server. The only thing that springs to mind is to somehow use the asynchronous SQL pass-through. Am i on the right path? Or is there light at the end of the pipe at all?
