If you want to zip your data files, you could use DynaZip. They actually provide an .OCX, documentation and sample code specific to VFP. It's about $300. Check out
www.innermedia.com for more facts. The only glitch I've found is that the .OCXs for zipping and unzipping seem to require a lot of memory just to load. For that reason, I instantiate them only when they are in use.
