>Don't let this discourage you - Opera is my favorite browser (for compatible sites), and it offers you many advantages. Just keep a copy of IE handy, for incompatible sites - including the UT.
Hilmar,
I know from past threads how much you like it, but I've been reading the negative evaluations and it seems like there is much not to like. I realize that the negative responses are very small compared to the positive, yet the narratives seem to have a couple overall themes which are keeping me from trying it:
1. Why pay for a browser?
2. Especially one that does not have the basic features of IE?
3. Many ads and limited viewing in the free version.
4. It cannot handle many sites.
5. It does not have sufficient Java support.
6. The navigation tools are poorly designed.
