This may be an already answered question, I've scanned thru the previous discussions (quickly) and think I have a variant on a theme. My situation is that we have a large database being upsize from VFP to SQL Server 2000 -- the data is still being entered at various sites using VFP and is being sent to a central site via small information files -- these files contain both new and modified records. Whats the fastest (execution speed) way to both insert and update the records. The normal process would have about 20 sites sending about 10 files that have (on average) 200 records per file (some new, some modified). Remote View?, SPT?, can I make use of SQL index?, ADO recordsets? -- I'm fairly new to the whole SQL Server scene, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated. -- Thanks
